Title: COSTUME QUEST - in progress Time: 7:30 PM
hai everyone. I have been playing this game for 3 days and i have managed to complete the first part of the 2 part series game - Costume Quest.
 this game might look really childish and boring. but trust me, it isnt. the story is really simple - this family has just moved to a new neighborhood and their kids ( the hero and the sibling) are going for trick or treat and make new friends. however, things got a little crazy and the sibling got captured by monsters, mistaking him/her as a giant sweet! your mission, is to rescue your sibling and prevent the monsters from destroying halloween and not forgetting to collect candies on the way. the graphics are really cute and so are the characters. the main focus of the game is ofcourse their costumes! there's plenty to choose from but of course you will need to earn and seek for the materials in order to complete the quest to get the costumes. 
When you click on "START NEW GAME" you can choose to play Costume Quest or Grubbing on Ice, where both are the same game play just different story plot, during halloween and after halloween.

i love the loading screens.
you will be controlling the first little kid in the queue and you will only get to use the costume skill in whichever costume you're wearing.
they will alert you whenever you receive a new quest
when you open this page, you will get to choose which costume you want to equip to your kids. this can be accessed anytime unless you're in battle
this will show you what each kid has and his or her attributes.
they will level up together but there's no attribute or skill points to distribute
here you'll be able to see what battle stamps you have, battle stamps will allow your kids to have special skills suck as counter attack or higher attack or defense
quest page. they are arranged neatly, even though its not shown here cause its a new save slot, new game.
 
this page will show you what are the costumes that you have yet to discover and how many there will be. also what are the ones you already have and the ones that you will need to find the materials for.
creepy treats will be awarded to you whenever you defeat monsters and by completing the entire set, you will be awarded with a special costume.
one of the many things you have to do is to go from door to door for trick or treat. however, not everytime you will be greeted by friendly faces, sometimes you will encounter enemies that you will have to battle.
 
the battle style is very simple. after you select ATTACK, you just have to be careful cause everything is based on quick time event. meaning you will have to match what is the required button within a few seconds in order to unleash a stronger attack.
defending against enemy attacks are automatic, however in order to reduce the amount of damage received, quick time event is also required. it is very crucial because sometimes the enemies are stronger than you and being able to complete the QTE will be able to save you.
so when you win the battle, you will be awarded creepy treats.
dont worry if youre defeated, you will be able to escape from the monster and maybe change your costume for better strategy or change battle stamps for your kids before challenging your enemies again.

my man recently pre-ordered DUNGEON DEFENDERS for me from STEAM ( thanks baby <3 )
  its a game about tower defense plus rpg. you get to choose from 4 different jobs -- squire, apprentice. huntress and monk (from above picture -left to right) each individual classes has their own special defenses which they can build. (requires mana -- they come in the form of jewels) this means they will support and provide unique help during the battle. you can read more about each individual classes and their traits here.   the layout of the items and your attributes setup is pretty straight forward. you can access any of these by pressing the I key. you can just meddle with the interface and pretty soon you will get the hang of it. for those who pre-ordered the game ( too late for that now~ ) you will be able to find the exclusive items in your own tavern. the items are...
currently there's no bugs for me. just that it's kinda laggy sometimes AND there's this problem when i try to connect to the online rooms.  besides that, the game is pretty smooth and you can easily spend hours on it. team work is very very important...dont just repair your own towers, help repair your team mates defenses too. you can just pick up any of the items found on the floor, dropped by the monsters or dropped from chests. straight forward and not too complicated controls. love it. aiming for level 25 for my apprentice now so i'll be able to use the team fortress 2 items. Yesterday was our 3rd month anniversary. Even though we had no plans whatsoever cause we have totally no idea what to do since it's always so boring around here and everything requires $$.
We ended up watching REAL STEEL @ iluma. Somehow we always end up watching movie..there's really nothing to do and no place to go... He bought me DUNGEON DEFENDERS too~ which was super sweet since I was eyeing it for awhile ( "dungeon defenders" is available on Steam now- Pre order now for exclusive items such as portal gun and team fortress 2 characters) I'll be reviewing about DUNGEON DEFENDERS once it's released for play - 20th oct (or when I have the time) Love you Nic <3 thanks for everything Wednesday, October 5, 2011 ♥

It's the last 3rd week of the holidays.

hi people~
in my previous post, i posted about a book. i've finished it and its book 2. went to the library and borrowed book 1 and 3 yesterday. finished book 1 this morning and gonna start on book 3 soon.  BOOK 1 WAS AWESOME. simply awesome. i couldnt put the book down till i finished it. lots of action because the infection just took place and the couple had to go through a lot of shit. erm.. im very hungry..so i shall stop here to go look for food... Was at the library yesterday with Nic. We sat at one corner for what seems like 30mins but was 2 hours.
This book caught my eyes when I was just looking around the shelves. Interesting enough, it was about zombie apocalypse and this married couple are zombiebusters where people pay them with supplies and they kill the zombies for them. I've not finish reading the book, still at chapter 6 but if I can survive the book for this long, it's good and it really is. Just found the blogger app like a minute ago and now I'm using it to write this post! No more reason to be lazy haha~ Alright. Looks like I'll have to be a good girl and try my best to blog regularly. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Even though I have bought DEAD ISLAND. I'm quite reluctant to play it cause it's scary! Haha I'm not being a pussy or whatever but because I'm in the town area with my friends 2days back and my level is low so I doubt I'll survive long there. And I do not know how to get back to the resort area where most of my quests are still undone... Also I'm more interested in my TEAM FORTRESS <3 gonna play more of it so I can get weapons and den craft the ones I really need. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Oh. And.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JIA REN :D Haha~ The holidays are sooo boring. There's nothing much we can do except gaming and sleeping. We should really get out and have fun but there's no where to go and spending money unnecessary seems like a bad idea.. Really wanna go out with Nic more since it's holiday..but can't really do that cause I'm not allowed to go out every week. Have to endure. I miss him so much~ Alright. Guess I'm done with this post.
