Title: COSTUME QUEST - in progress

hai everyone. I have been playing this game for 3 days and i have managed to complete the first part of the 2 part series game - Costume Quest.

this game might look really childish and boring.
but trust me, it isnt.
the story is really simple - this family has just moved to a new neighborhood and their kids ( the hero and the sibling) are going for trick or treat and make new friends. however, things got a little crazy and the sibling got captured by monsters, mistaking him/her as a giant sweet! your mission, is to rescue your sibling and prevent the monsters from destroying halloween and not forgetting to collect candies on the way.

the graphics are really cute and so are the characters.
the main focus of the game is ofcourse their costumes!
there's plenty to choose from but of course you will need to earn and seek for the materials in order to complete the quest to get the costumes.

each different costume has got different uses, some has got higher attack while the other can withstand more damage while some can heal.

When you click on "START NEW GAME" you can choose to play Costume Quest or Grubbing on Ice, where both are the same game play just different story plot, during halloween and after halloween.

i love the loading screens.

you will be controlling the first little kid in the queue and you will only get to use the costume skill in whichever costume you're wearing.

they will alert you whenever you receive a new quest

when you open this page, you will get to choose which costume you want to equip to your kids. this can be accessed anytime unless you're in battle

this will show you what each kid has and his or her attributes.

they will level up together but there's no attribute or skill points to distribute

here you'll be able to see what battle stamps you have, battle stamps will allow your kids to have special skills suck as counter attack or higher attack or defense

quest page. they are arranged neatly, even though its not shown here cause its a new save slot, new game.

this page will show you what are the costumes that you have yet to discover and how many there will be. also what are the ones you already have and the ones that you will need to find the materials for.

creepy treats will be awarded to you whenever you defeat monsters and by completing the entire set, you will be awarded with a special costume.

one of the many things you have to do is to go from door to door for trick or treat. however, not everytime you will be greeted by friendly faces, sometimes you will encounter enemies that you will have to battle.

the battle style is very simple. after you select ATTACK, you just have to be careful cause everything is based on quick time event. meaning you will have to match what is the required button within a few seconds in order to unleash a stronger attack.

defending against enemy attacks are automatic, however in order to reduce the amount of damage received, quick time event is also required. it is very crucial because sometimes the enemies are stronger than you and being able to complete the QTE will be able to save you.

so when you win the battle, you will be awarded creepy treats.

dont worry if youre defeated, you will be able to escape from the monster and maybe change your costume for better strategy or change battle stamps for your kids before challenging your enemies again.

this is a rather brief review because i have yet to complete the entire game.
